Leaders in the life science and biotech industries need specific talent within their organizations that possess the required skills and practical expertise to basically hit the ground running once they start working.
With little to no industry experience, general staffing firms would struggle to find qualified workers for these companies. That doesn't necessarily mean a recruiter who focuses on the biotech sector will make the best decisions.
Although they will be more focused than a generalist, these people are unlikely to have any prior training or expertise in the relevant sector. The ideal recruiter will be well-versed in the field, and yes, there are such people; additional research is required.
